About Building Bridges Roles
Building Bridges supports those who identify the gaps that exist in our communities that prevent the needs of individuals from being met. Most non-profits are organized around a specific cause. Building Bridges is a bit different. It is organized around a process created by one of our founding directors, Karen E. Lile, that allows us to perform the specific roles needed for a particular project we have agreed to participate in. Our ultimate goal is that the others involved will soon be able to provide for the continuation of the project on their own. Our activity in these roles usually has a fixed duration and confined scope, specific to the situation. We may take actions upon request to benefit the participants in the project so they can accomplish their goals.
Building Bridges can help those participating in a current project by serving in one or more of the following roles on an as needed basis, containing that aid to what is needed to help the project succeed. These are the roles that Building Bridges can and has performed:
- Recognition Role
- Providing events and resources to provide quality recognition opportunities for project participants to recognize their volunteers, sponsors and mentors. Click Here for more information.
- Connection Role
- Providing introductions between people and brokering partnerships and connections to aid in a project. Click Here for more information.
- Exchange Role.
- Providing access to businesses that can exchange donate items into cash and help non-profits trade donated services they don't need for something else of value.
- Standards Role
- Providing ideas and solutions that can help participants create standards to guide the interactions of the participants in a project.
- Problem Resolution Role
- Providing a specialist that will show the project participants, by example, how to solve a particularly difficult problem.
