Expo features fun and education

The Health and Safety Expo to be held on Oct. 26 promises to provide a wealth of information. In addition to the main exposition area featuring booths manned by volunteers from various governmental agencies and non profit groups, there will be a number of interesting activities.

The Contra Costa Fire District will bring in their Fire Safety Robot and a fire engine for kids to see. The Contra Costa Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team will be on hand with their trained search dogs and first aid equipment to demonstrate.

In addition, there will be booths with handouts and giveaways from a variety of groups such as the American Heart Association, Contra Costa Breast Cancer Partnerships, the California Academy of Family Physicians and Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority. Other exhibitors inclue the John Muir Medical Center, Linda Evans Fitness, Pure air Systems, Touchstone Counseling, and a number of chiropractors and health care providers.
